Yo, have you even heard of a weblog or a blog, weblogs or blogs? If you have, then you should be familiar with blogging at blogspot, -the Google blogger -  and perhaps even know how to make a blog. But if you haven't and you wish to make easy money online, read further and I will show you how. I started out when I was retrenched. 

The bills were coming in and I had no idea how I was going to make ends meet. Everyone seem to be making money online, which frustrated me bigtime because the internet was inundated with get rich quick schemes all of them wanting me to venture money that I don't have. Perhaps, you can relate to my situation. To cut a long story short, I decided  to start an AdSense blog. So without over thinking it, I started writing blogs for money. 

Most people searching for blog sites look for ways to make money online but the best blog sites teach blogging and diligence because the money will soon follow, surely but slowly. I must emphasise slowly because no blogger became rich overnight and I will tell you why.

BLOG HOSTING

When you start a blog - which you get absolutely free at www.Blogger.com - you begin with a single page blog that you will monitize and hope surfers will visit. Bearing in mind this single page blog will carry a maximum of three adverts which Google Adsense displays on your blogs. 

Because its a new page you would be very lucky if you get more than 20 visits on its published date which again depends on the subject. To get visitors to see you blog site you need to submit it to Google's Search Engine and after their spiders index your blog site it will be searchable. This can take several weeks. 

In the most unlikely event that  500 visitors land on your blog site and each stay for 1 minute, then the amount of money that you would have made is miniscule because of the media billing rule called CPM. CPM stands for clicks per thousand (M represents 1000 in Roman numerals). Google CPM is 5 cents.

Before you say I'm wasting your time and that this is no way how to make money fast, consider what would happen if the single blog page became 100 pages over a period of time while you stared at minimum 10 other blog topics which will eventually each have a 100 pages. 

Suddenly you have 1000 pages with a total of 3000 ads. If you blogs become popular you will get thousands of visitors per month. You will be paid for page visits and  when visitors click on those ads attached to your pages,  Google Adsense will pay you a percentage of the revenue they make from those advertisers ads.

Initially it would be a little but after a few years you could be getting an income greater than the average person working 40 hours per week. I need to emphasise, do not click on your ads attached to your blog sites because every mouse click is monitored and recorded by analytical software run by Google. 

If you are found to click on your ads, Google will expel you from the Adsense program and never allow you back. Initially you will sign an undertaking that you will not click on your ads and honesty is the best policy.

By now you should have your blog site up and running if you followed the instructions in the previous blog but if it's not, I urge you to make a blog. As mentioned before, Blogger.com is a Google initiative and as such you should create yourself a gmail account at Google.com. Once that is done, type http://www.blogger.com into your URL space, then you will arrive on your blog website dashboard - google blogger. It looks something like this below a header.

Here you can create/edit your profile... insert facts about yourself, upload a pic / avatar and answer a question at the bottom of the form. If you don't like the question click the orange button to get another. Save your profile. Go to your first blog site, click on edit and you will see something like this. Click on Settings and type an introduction to your blog site and save.

How to Make Money with Google Adsense.

Google.com runs an AdSense programme whereby you make some quick money with  free blog sites. Initially you will get paid a paltry sum of money, a really minuscule sum of money, a tiny , trivial percentage of their advertising income for hosting adverts on your best blog site. For example, if your best blog is about photography, the ads on your blog-site will mostly be photography related ads, in the same colour scheme as your blog. Or if your have an electronics blog, you will receive ads related to electronics on the blog-site.  If you run a fashion blog or fashion blogs you will have fashion related ads on your blog site. Should you want to join the Google AdSense programme and earn Internet Money with your blogs, click Monetise and you can select one of several templates, the default one is normally the best. Google.com is probably the best blogging platform for beginners to earn money online.

Google Adsense may take as much as three days to evaluate your blog site for acceptance to the Google AdSense programme and once approved, adverts will start to appear on your blog site on the positions of the oranges boxes in the Monetize template you selected, as mentioned above. Launch  your blog site and see the adverts inserted on your blog page. Dude, whatever you do, DO NOT CLICK ON THE ADS, of your own blog site, Google will expel you from the AdSense programme before you even start.

Arm yourself and read through the Google agreements and help files. There are certain undertakings, I suggest you strictly abide by them. Don't CHEAT, Google has ANYLITICAL SOFTWARE (go-on, have a look) that tracks your every move and they will definitely expel you. There are numerous persons with wistful regrets for trying to con Google.com because they will never be allowed back into the AdSense programme. Once expelled there is an appeal process, but lets not even go there. Honesty is the BEST Policy. There are hundreds of people out there who claim that they earned vast sums of money yet Google  refuses to pay them. I can only guess they clicked on there own ads because Google is god of the Internet and sees everything.

Remember there are processes that your site has to go through before it becomes popular. You need to optimize your blog site and submit your URLs to the search engines. It needs to be indexed by the Googlebot and only if your site is search for and found by way of your keywords, will anyone be able your site, unless you give them the URL. There is a small possibility someone may click on one of your adverts on your blog site. It may take several months for your blog site to even starts to become popular and that will slowly happens when other bloggers, link their blog websites to yours because of your cool content.  It could take months before you earn your first $10. In my first month, I earned 12 cents with about 312 visits (no clicks) and the second month I earned 18 cents with about 282 visits (1 click). Don't laugh ... God willing, the day will come when I will have 2000 visits per day on every one of my blog sites.

Just remember good things comes to those who  wait! In time you will also earn money online since it is easiest way to  earn money from home.

What is a blog? Well, well, well, so you're also interested to know what a blog is. This is exactly the question several of my friends asked me just a few months ago. Just last month, mere days ago, I discussed my blog sites, only to be quizzed once again "What is a blog?" So before I answer, let me finish my story. 

Last night I was asked the very same question by a network marketer trying to recruit me. And again this morning a colleague who overheard my conversation with a girlfriend, about blogging sites, also inquired as to What a blog is. I had no idea that so many people haven't heard the terms "blog, blogs, blogging or blogger" before. The same people  also don't know that they could make money with adsense blogs, by blogging at blogspot, let alone how to start a blog.

Its the biggest thing since email.

Anyway, this gave me the impetus to write about  blogs and blogging and explain finally, "What a blog is!" or rather "What blogs are". Fortunately for me, I was able to secure the domain name  blogspot @ blogspot.com at Google blogger. Cool hey? So to answer the initial question, the word blog is a "portmanteau" of the two words, web and log. Restated, web and log are joined to form weblog and somehow, the "we" of web  was dropped and "b" attached to log or in its plural form logs to form "blogs". Ok, I know that doesn't answer the question completely but I will get there.

A blog is essentially a page of information, much like a diary entry of your personal thoughts written on a page, or anything interesting that you wrote or rather anything that you can write about, that you think someone else or other people would find interesting. Celebs are blogging about their lives for the benefit of their fans. Artisans are writing DIY blogs about their professions. Teachers are writing blogs about teaching methods, even housewives are writing blogs about daily events. But, instead of writing all this on a page or pages made from dead trees, you write it as an entry at a blog site, like Blogger.com. Blogging is fun, it's hip, it's cool, its controversial, its popular, its entertaining and its the biggest thing since email. My next blog will tell you how to make money with google adsense.

How to make a blog.

Meanwhile I suggest you start a blog site, and start blogging. You don't have to be technically inclined or to know a programming language, not even HTML, blogging is EASY! But, I will certainly help you with, how to start your own blog.  Blogger is a Google initiative that allows you to create free blog sites.   Yahoo also has blogs similar to Google Adsense, Wordpress also has blogs. In fact there are thousands of professional blogging sites, publishing platforms on which to blog. If you want to start blogging instantly, you can create free blog, just go to Blogger.com and select blog and this is what you will see.

There's a space for your Blog Title. This is the name that is going to appear in your browser's top left hand corner right before the words "Windows Internet Explorer", or "Mozilla Firefox" if you using Firefox or "Opera" if you using Opera or even "Safari" if you using Safari as the browser.

So, choose this name carefully, choose a name you can develop your theme around. For example if your Google blog, is going to be about movies you've watched, call it "Movie Critic" perhaps or "Movie Buff" or "Movie Maniac" or anything along this line that tickles your fancy. Next, you have to choose a domain name for your blog site, this is essentially the name you going tell your friends and family to type into their web browsers in order to view your blogs initially. But whatever name you may have in mind may already be taken, so be patient a try a few, and click the check availability button if its available. It will spew out a few suggestions, if the name you'd like for your blog is already taken. Don't just accept a name that is spews out, give it some thought, try a few more, then decide. Have a look at http://expowp.blogspot.com.

Next is word verification. There would be a colourful nonsensical word written in disfigured characters (verification code) that you need to type into the box below it. Look at the word carefully, type it in, then click on the orange arrow, complete is written on it, in white script. The screen will change and you'll see numerous templates. Select one that appeals to you, click on the orange arrow and the next screen will change to this.

Start typing in the large area, and begin to make money from blogging, when done, do a spell check, click the orange button which says Publish Post. The screen will change once more to this, and
